Family contact support/supervision
At Alfa Care and Protection, we provide supervised contact services to ensure the physical safety and emotional wellbeing of a child during contact with their non-resident family member.
Our trained Close Protection staff offer support and ensure that the contact goes smoothly without any incidents.
Supervised contact is used when it has been determined that a child has suffered or is at risk of suffering harm during contact. Referrals for our services usually come from the local authority, child contact centres, courts, CAFCASS officers, or self-referral.
We take a sensitive approach and prioritize the emotional wellbeing of the child/young person and the family member. All our support staff have enhanced DBS checks and are compliant with our ‘safer recruitment policies.’ They are also trained in MAYBO de-escalation techniques, medication awareness and safe handling, substance misuse, and First Aid.
